Founded in 1947, Carmel Country Club enjoys a rich tradition of excellence offering the best in amenities and activities and has established itself as the foremost family Club of the Queen City. To further elevate the member experience, the clubhouse underwent a major renovation (March 2020- April 2021) and now boasts some of the most elegant event spaces in all of Charlotte.

The clubhouse design incorporates a tasteful blend of modern and traditional elements which bring sophistication to any event or celebration including large-scale milestone moments and small private functions. Upon arrival, members and guests will ascend the refinished staircases and be met by stately doors leading into a picturesque lobby. Coat check is available upon request and a marque board and scheduling panel displays will guide you to your desired location.

Depending on the size of the party and style of event, hosts can enjoy a plethora of options to usher guests between contiguous spaces which allows for a seamless transition from cocktail hour to a reception, registration/check-in to the keynote address, silent auctions, live entertainment, and much more. Enhancements such as sound proofing between spaces, black out shades, and additional upgraded restrooms enrich the overall event experience.

The Carmel Clubhouse is a premiere event destination. Between the classic finishes, upscale d├ęcor, functional design, and a diverse mix of timeless and contemporary artwork there is something for everyone to enjoy. Furthermore, with the lamppost studded drive leading to a grand entryway and the Honors Terrace serving a majestic focal point for the rear elevation ensure elegance from every angle.

A favorite spot for cocktail and dinner parties, the 700 sq. foot Presidents Room can be used alone or in conjunction with the Boardroom. The room boasts bountiful natural light and sparkling chandeliers which add a touch of elegance to any event.
Used primarily for meetings, the Boardroom is 600 sq. feet. The centerpiece of the room is the 14-person conference table with space easily available for food and drink stations. A drop-down presentation screen and conference phone facilitate efficient meetings while large windows drench the room with natural light.
The new 2,500 sq. foot West Ballroom offers an elegant, mid-sized event space, adding depth and variety to entertainment options. This room is perfect for intimate receptions, large meetings or cocktail parties. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the South Putting Green, the West Ballroom adds a touch of class to all events.
The renovated spacious and elegant 4,500 sq. foot ballroom features floor to ceiling windows to highlight the beautiful backdrop of the Carmel courses. The classic design incorporates statement chandeliers, neutral colors, and high-end finishes to complement a wide-variety of events.





With a dedicated bar, the Lounge can be used in conjunction with the Grand Ballroom and other spaces, or on its own as a welcoming reception area. The fresh take on Carmel’s historic blend of timeless elegance and relaxed comfort will make it a pleasure for members and their guests.
Adjacent to the West Ballroom, the Founders Room repurposes the classic wooden bar of the old clubhouse into the focal point of this multi-purpose event room. Double doors leading into the West Ballroom help to make the Founders Room a great place for guests to mingle before an event or a lovely private dining room.
